It’s a toss-up for real-estate investors: a 1950s Knight Street bungalow, or a ski centre in Eastern Canada?
You could have either for the same price: $900,000.
The skiing centre, which includes 22 trails, a restaurant, bar and pro shop, is known as Mont Farlagne. It’s on 306 acres near Edmundston, N.B. The owners are selling.
A Radio-Canada story posted earlier this year reported that the ski centre’s owners hoped to “get a little more than $2.3 million,” but the resort is now listed on both Kijiji and realty site www.prop2go.com for just $900,000.
Take a look at the resort:

All 306 acres of this New Brunswick Skiing Centre is up for sale for just $900,000.

That’s right, you could own this skiing centre and all 22 trails for well under $1 million. You just have to move the East Coast.

Meanwhile in Vancouver, $899,000 could get you this — let’s call it ‘vintage’ — 1950s single-family home on Knight Street.
This 1,860 square foot, five-bedroom bungalow with two bathrooms and a basement suite even has “some updates,” according to Remax.ca. The upstairs washroom is sporting a new coat of paint and tiles. It also has a “newer” fridge and boasts a “great location for getting around,” right at Knight Street and 31 Avenue.

And now let’s hop back over to Vancouver. This single family home on Knight St. is going for the same price at $900,000.

The Knight Street home itself is 1,860 square feet.

Here’s a peek inside the home, and that appears to be the “newer” fridge – still in its plastic wrap.

The 4,430 square foot lot also comes with this yard.

There’s also plenty of parking at the rear of the home and on side streets.

And unfortunately, this isn’t the first time New Brunswick real estate made for a sad comparison with Vancouver. Last year we spotted a New Brunswick castle that cost less than yet another East Van bungalow.
